Solana Mobile Halts Marketing Emails After Brevo Breach
Dailyhodl.com reports that Solana Mobile has suspended its third-party marketing email account following unauthorized access. The incident stems from a broader security breach at the email provider Brevo, which impacted 138 customer accounts via a SAML SSO vulnerability. Solana Mobile identified the unauthorized entry, disabled the account, and is currently coordinating with Brevo to determine the scope of accessed information.
The company confirmed that, to its knowledge, no emails were sent from the Solana Mobile account, though verification is ongoing. Brevo stated that six of the affected accounts were used to send phishing emails to stored contacts, while 43 accounts had their contacts exported. Ninety-three accounts showed no meaningful activity, and Brevo has disabled all links in the affected messages as a precaution.
Brevo acknowledged the failure to protect customer audiences, noting that the messages passed standard authentication checks and appeared genuine. Solana Mobile, which builds crypto-focused smartphones, reminded users that it will never ask for seed phrases, private keys, or wallet recovery details.
How the market reacted
Whalio's own Binance spot order flow for SOL, measured when this story was written up on 14 September 2026. Not the outlet's figures.
Solana is trading at $99.30 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 51.3%, indicating a slight shift toward buying pressure in the short term. This contrasts with the 4-hour buy ratio of 49.9% and the 24-hour ratio of 46.2%, suggesting that recent buying interest is outpacing the daily average. The 1-hour volume delta is positive at +$197,296, whereas the 4-hour and 24-hour deltas are negative at -$55,729 and -$10,342,535 respectively. A positive volume delta means buyers are executing more trades at the ask price, while a negative delta indicates sellers are more active. The 24-hour cumulative volume delta (CVD) stands at -$6,630,624, showing that net selling has dominated the day so far. Despite the daily net selling, the 1-hour surge in buying suggests a potential short-term reversal or consolidation.
The latest daily buy ratio of 48.8% sits at the 27th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 50.0% - weaker buying than most days.
Was that an ordinary day?
The same Binance spot measurements for SOL, averaged over the days leading up to the story.
Over the preceding week, Solana experienced a 7-day average buy ratio of 49.4%, which is slightly lower than the current 1-hour reading. The coin has seen a price change of -6.8% over the last 8 days, with a total volume delta of -$25,141,770. Trading volume over the week was 0.61x the average, indicating significantly reduced activity compared to typical days. Net buying occurred on only 3 of the 7 days, highlighting a generally bearish trend. This recent 1-hour buying spike is an unusual deviation from the consistent net outflows and lower volume seen over the past week.
