ZetaChain vote passes for Solana migration

Solana (SOL) Editor: Eugene Serbin

Grafa.com reports that ZetaChain’s Proposal 68 has secured 99.4% support to migrate ZETA to Solana. The vote cleared the 40% quorum requirement with 58% participation before closing at 14:58:18 UTC on September 20. This move positions Solana as the canonical network for ZETA, with ZetaChain’s Layer 1 eventually shutting down.

ZETA will become a native Solana SPL token via a 1:1 conversion without increasing supply. Existing vesting schedules will remain in effect during this transition. The current vote does not immediately move assets or halt the Layer 1.

A second proposal is required to define the balance snapshot and claim process. ZetaChain also highlighted Anuma, its private AI application, which has served over 300,000 users since February. The application has processed more than one million requests across 35 AI models.

Solana validators will secure native ZETA after the Layer 1 shutdown. The migration aims to leverage Solana’s transaction speed, lower costs, and liquidity. AI-agent infrastructure was also cited as a key reason for the move.
