Altcoin Rally Led By NEAR And ARB As O’Leary Shifts From Ethereum

Arbitrum (ARB) Editor: Eugene Serbin

newsable.asianetnews.com reports that an altcoin rally saw Near Protocol (NEAR) lead gains of over 60%, followed by Arbitrum (ARB) at over 54%. Other tokens including Ethena (ENA), Avalanche (AVAX), Uniswap (UNI), Zcash (ZEC), and Injective (INJ) also posted strong weekly increases. Zcash remained the largest by market cap at $24.56 billion, while UNI and NEAR followed with valuations of $5.37 billion and $4.86 billion respectively.

Analyst Michaël van de Poppe highlighted Arbitrum's breakout as a clear move pointing higher. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams cited SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce’s letter regarding decentralized systems as bullish news for automated market makers. Arthur Hayes commented on Zcash’s performance and predicted Ethena could reach $0.50.

Injective gained 32% after the SEC received an amended filing for the 21Shares Injective ETF. Kevin O’Leary stated at the Avalanche Summit that Ethereum is no longer fast or secure enough for every use case. He noted that different sectors might choose different blockchains, adding that adoption by a major exchange could send a token’s value “through the roof.”
