Circle and Volante integrate USDC into bank payment workflows

USDC (USDC) Editor: Eugene Serbin

thebitjournal.com reports that Circle and Volante Technologies are collaborating to embed USDC transactions within the existing payment systems operated by financial institutions. This initiative targets the operational friction of connecting blockchain transfers to traditional banking controls, records, and funding processes. The September 28 announcement outlines functions including minting, redemption, wallet registration, funding, and payment execution for evaluation by banks.

While this provides an integration opportunity, it does not guarantee that every Volante customer has immediately launched a USDC service. The partnership aims to reduce manual reconciliation by coordinating payment instructions across established banking channels. Banks can evaluate stablecoin workflows alongside conventional rails without replacing their existing access controls and accounting connections.

USDC’s utility depends on pre- and post-transaction steps, such as converting bank deposits to tokens for supplier payments. The collaboration seeks to make the new rail usable within daily banking infrastructure rather than replacing it entirely.

USDC is trading at $1.00 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 49.3%, indicating a near-even split between buyers and sellers. Over the shorter 1-hour and 4-hour windows, buying pressure is slightly lower at 46.1% and 46.9% respectively, suggesting a recent dip in aggressive accumulation. The volume delta reflects this sentiment, showing net selling of -$9,556,456 in the last hour and -$22,850,119 over four hours. This negative delta means that sell volume has exceeded buy volume during these periods, pushing the cumulative volume delta to -$87,447,320 by the 24-hour close. Despite this outflow, total spot volume remains high at $3,449,242,221 with 651,316 trades recorded. Net buying occurred in only 8 of the last 24 hours, highlighting a day where selling pressure dominated the flow.

The latest daily buy ratio of 50.2% sits at the 73rd percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 48.4% - stronger buying than most days.

Over the preceding week, the average buy ratio was 50.4%, making today’s 24-hour ratio of 49.3% slightly below the weekly norm by 1.1 percentage points. Trading activity has accelerated, with 24-hour volume reaching 1.30 times the weekly average, signaling heightened engagement. However, the recent negative volume delta contrasts with the week’s total positive volume delta of +$171,511,787. Net buying was observed on 5 of the past 7 days, indicating that the current session is part of a generally bullish weekly trend despite today’s slight pullback. This suggests that while short-term sellers are active, the broader weekly context remains supportive of accumulation.
