ARK Invest Tokenizes $1.3B Venture Fund on Ethereum

Ethereum (ETH) Editor: Eugene Serbin

According to blockchainmedia.id, ARK Invest has launched its ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) as a tokenized asset on the Ethereum blockchain. The fund, managed by Cathie Wood, holds stakes in major technology firms including OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, and Databricks. Issued in partnership with Securitize, the tokenized shares allow qualified investors to subscribe using USDC before the daily net asset value is determined.

This move represents a shift toward on-chain settlement for a closed-end interval fund that targets long-term capital growth. The fund’s total net assets reached approximately $1.304 billion as of August 31, 2026. OpenAI constitutes 5.26 percent of the portfolio, valued at roughly $68.6 million, while Anthropic holds a 3.86 percent weight.

SpaceX remains the largest position at 7.54 percent, followed by Kalshi and Ayar Labs. Wood described the tokenization as a tangible manifestation of her belief in the evolution of capital markets. Although traded on Ethereum, the tokens are not listed on exchanges and rely on periodic repurchase mechanisms for liquidity.
