Arthur Hayes Sets $10K Ethereum Target for End of 2026

Ethereum (ETH) Editor: Eugene Serbin

DailyCoin reports that Arthur Hayes has established a $10,000 price target for Ethereum by the end of 2026. This projection implies a rise of more than fourfold from the $2,400 price point cited in recent coverage. Hayes, the former BitMEX chief executive, described this as a speculative portfolio view rather than a valuation-backed forecast.

His family office, Maelstrom, maintains a structural long position in Bitcoin while he outlined specific targets for other assets. He predicts Ethena’s ENA token will reach $0.50 and Ether.fi’s ETHFI will hit $2. Hayes links these targets to broader liquidity shifts driven by euro-yen dynamics and European banking pressure.

He also points to Bank of Japan policy and potential U.S. monetary expansion as catalysts. Treasury bond-buyback activity and Federal Reserve balance-sheet growth are cited as additional supports for risk assets. The $10,000 figure does not include a detailed model for network revenue, ETF inflows, or staking demand. At roughly $2,495, Ether is currently about 307% below Hayes’ stated target.

Whalio data shows Ethereum trading at $2,391.92 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 51.8% and a 4-hour ratio of 55.7%. These short-term figures exceed the 24-hour buy ratio of 51.5%, indicating that buying pressure is building in the immediate term. The volume delta reflects this activity with positive inflows of $962,387 in the last hour and $19,253,162 over four hours. A positive volume delta means that the volume of trades executed at the ask price is greater than at the bid price, signaling net buying. Over the last 24 hours, the cumulative volume delta reached +$19,901,784 with a CVD of +$112,208,324. Net buying occurred for 17 out of 24 hours, supported by a spot volume of $683,778,047 across 2,339,119 trades.

This current activity contrasts with the preceding week, where the 7-day average buy ratio was 49.1%. The latest day shows a buy ratio 2.3 points higher than this weekly average, suggesting a shift toward more aggressive buying. Volume for the day was 1.04 times the weekly average, indicating slightly above-normal trading activity. However, the coin experienced a 4.6% price decline over the eight-day period. Total volume delta for the week was -$100,867,845, with net buying occurring on only two of the seven days. This suggests that while today shows stronger relative buying, the broader weekly trend has been dominated by net outflows.
