Ethereum ETFs Inflow $216M as Bitcoin Outflows Continue

Ethereum (ETH) Editor: Eugene Serbin

finance.yahoo.com reports that US spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $216 million on September 11, reversing a $24 million outflow from September 9. This fresh buying coincided with a 3% price increase for Ether, aligning spot demand with ETF inflows. Conversely, Bitcoin ETFs recorded a $13.29 million net outflow on their fourth consecutive day of redemptions.

This follows a week ending September 4 that saw nearly $987 million in inflows, marking a sharp reversal for the category. Bitcoin trades near $77,293.66, down 11.73% since January 1 and 33.48% over the past year. The category remains approximately $1 billion short of break-even for 2026.

US spot XRP ETFs showed $0.00 in net flows on September 11 despite $36 million in secondary market trading. This zero net flow indicates no new shares were created or redeemed, reflecting immature infrastructure rather than weak demand. Cumulative XRP net inflows stand at $1.70 billion against net assets of $1.45 billion. The same firms that bought Bitcoin through early September have now sold for four straight sessions.

Whalio data shows Ethereum trading at $2,516.43 with a 1-hour buy ratio of 52.0% and a 4-hour ratio of 52.3%. These short-term figures exceed the 24-hour buy ratio of 50.4%, suggesting buying pressure is building rather than fading. The 1-hour volume delta is positive at $376,765, while the 4-hour delta reaches $4,028,226. This indicates that recent trades are favoring buyers more strongly than the full day average. However, the 24-hour CVD closed at -$11,923,025, showing that cumulative volume over the full day still favored sellers. Net buying occurred for 11 of the last 24 hours.

The latest daily buy ratio of 46.8% sits at the 16th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.5% - weaker buying than most days.

Only one day of the preceding seven saw net buying, highlighting the recent shift in momentum.
