Treasury Firms Stack Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin Through a Jittery September Market

Ethereum (ETH) Editor: Eugene Serbin

beincrypto.com reports that three listed crypto treasury companies added to their token piles last week while Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana drifted through a soft September. Buying continued as digital assets faced fresh uncertainty ahead of a Federal Reserve rate decision. Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, was the exception to this trend. The firm bought back its own preferred shares rather than accumulating more tokens.

Whalio’s Binance spot data for Ethereum shows a price of $2,515.75 with a 24-hour buy ratio of 51.5%, indicating that slightly more than half of the volume came from buyers. However, shorter-term pressure has shifted, with the 1-hour buy ratio dropping to 39.4% and the 4-hour ratio at 42.5%. This decline suggests that immediate buying pressure is fading compared to the broader daily trend. The 24-hour volume delta is positive at $27,755,975, showing net inflows over the day, while the 1-hour delta is negative at -$7,635,161, indicating recent selling pressure. The Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) for the 24-hour close is -$8,449,021, reflecting that aggressive market buying has been outweighed by market selling pressure over the full day.

The latest daily buy ratio of 46.8% sits at the 16th percentile of the last 322 days, against a median of 49.5% - weaker buying than most days.

Over the preceding week, the average buy ratio was 48.2%, making today’s 24-hour ratio of 51.5% an unusual day with 3.3 points more buying activity than the weekly average. Spot volume was 1.16x the average, showing significantly higher trading activity than usual. Despite this increased volume, the 8-day volume delta total was -$117,616,538, indicating that net selling pressure dominated the week overall. Only one of the seven days saw net buying, highlighting that this recent surge in buying is a short-term deviation from a generally bearish weekly flow.
